I dunno but the Vikings need to upgrade their secondary situation not the QB situation.
Agreed about the secondary, but this was an easy move to make that could pay huge dividends.

Is Freeman definitely going to start though? I would think it would take more than a week to learn the playbook even though im sure its mostly run plays.

I'd assume they roll with Cassel for now. Only makes sense.
What this does is pushes Ponder out the door and gives them just another "potential" long-term option to sift through. Cassel may play decent the rest of the year, but chances are that he wont...Regardless, he's a stopgap #2 guy so they'll need to see what Freeman has.

They still have Webb on roster? If they do then I wonder if they release him or Ponder. No way they keep 4 quarterbacks on roster the rest of the year.

Man Pryor has impressed me this season. Definitely didnt think he would be as good as he currently is.
