Not many employers look to rehabilitate and help employees which break their rules. Generally they are just punished.

Ehhhh not really. Most modern companies won't allow themselves to lose talent over things that don't effect their performance.

i love some people's responses to the Rice suspension its really not that difficult

dude knocked his fiancee unconscious and the aftermath is on film . no dispute . two games is laughable and makes the league look REALLY bad

Unless you saw what happened before she was being carried out the elevator I don't know how you or anyone else can say two games is laughable.

@Deuce King @Buc Em Pops and I got the Bucs for our 33 pool this year. I hope they put up points.

What is that?

This pool where we pick teams from a hat. Whatever team scores 33 pts that week wins the weekly pot. If no one hits 33 then the pot builds up until someone hits 33. So I need the bucs to throw up some points this year.

My Dad used to do that as well, but I think the team he had was randomized every week. It's a good pool because 33 is hard to come by.

Ya we stick with 1 team all year. The worst is when you need 33 but that would beat your own team :smh: which to go for  jk I want that money

Huh??  I don't remember this bet.

The Atlanta Falcons are giving their season-ticket holders an opportunity that surely many won’t pass up: a visit to their seats from cheerleaders during home games.

ESPN’s Darren Rovell has details on the unique plan:
It’s part of the team’s “Memories” program, which seeks to give the team’s most loyal fans experiences that they will remember.

Fans can use memory points, which they are awarded based on longevity of being a season-ticket holder, to stand on the field during the player intros, get a personal visit from the team mascot or receive an autograph from a Falcons player.

But it’s the cheerleader visit that has been getting the most attention.

Still, the Falcons recognize there is the possibility of ugliness by sending cheerleaders to fans and it’s something they are prepared for.

“It’s not like you can order them to your seat after you’ve had eight beers,” said Jim Smith, the team’s chief marketing and revenue officer.

(…)

“If things don’t look right, we’re not going there,” Smith said. “But often, we’ve seen this is ordered by families whose daughters cheer and want to meet the girls.”
Rovell reports that cheerleaders will be escorted by security to those who order this visit.

With the proper pre-cautions in place, this is a pretty cool idea by the Falcons. Cheerleaders are obviously a big part of the fan experience and Atlanta has come up with a method of making it even bigger.

Agreed

It's never okay to partake in domestic violence but who knows what the NFL saw

It also helps his cause he cooperated, has no sketchy history and his wife pleaded with Goodell during the meetings

Falcons one step closer to lap dances

Delta did you just become an Atlanta fan?

That'll be the highlight of most football Sundays in Georgia from here on out

And when the video was first viewed by authorities they both were charged.

The difference between the Ray Rice incident and this Josh Gordon fiasco is that the personal conduct policy allows for punishments to be decided on by Goodell himself while the substance abuse policy is a pretty straightforward tiered system.

Rice was handed a punishment that Goodell himself saw fit. Whether or not it was appropriate or just is another matter. Gordon placed himself into "tier 3" of the substance abuse policy because of repeated violations so he made his own bed. He knew he would be faced with the potential of an indefinite ban if he slipped up again due to his past transgressions and he still messed up anyway.

Jeez 10027 you can't ever let anything slide with me  Yes 'modern' companies think more outside the box for key employees but most employees aren't key and most companies aren't 'modern'

And by punishment I didn't necessarily mean fired

I'm not trying to be on you. I think that if a company were to do the same thing it would be an equally unwise move for them. But yes some would treat it that way.

]Just intentionally lost the intro segment in Madden so the Seahawks would win (you play as Cam in the NFC championship). Felt kind of pathetic afterwards.
