The exact mentality of people who don't really have money. The people who run the most successful businesses and make the best investments are usually the people who AREN'T stunting. That's why athletes often end up broke. Spending to stunt and then cash poor and bankrupt cause they can't keep up a lifestyle fueled by excess and greed. A large reason why America is in such a bad economic situation is because so many people spend outside their means to stunt and keep up with what everyone expects them to wear or have based on BS expectations set by people like Kanye. Recognition through consumerism is rampant. Yeezys and Rolexes are just part of the same culture. Much like the RO's Rolexes are also the least reliable of the luxury timepieces, but it's all about that recognition.Nah I know a lot of people in my life wouldn't use thousands just to stunt. But for teenagers it makes total sense. It explains the mentality that lets a shoe become this expensive in the first place.
I know a lot of people in NT that dont live by that standards either.Majority of a whole sets the 'typical' standards though . Maybe NT is a bit more than average ...
99.9% of people spend thousands to stunt. Let's be real here, whether it is a big house to invite people over to hang out and watch the fight or Super Bowl, a fancy car, designer handbags, etc, etc.
Just in different ways. That's what's money is for, to be spent. Live it up.
Just saying, sneaker culture today is all about showing off at any cost, trying to look and feel exclusive. Which is not what it was all about a decade ago, let alone 2.
