****ing sad man.

I'm down in the South Bay, ~100 miles away and the smoke was down here. A friend of mine lost his home.

still hazy in all parts of norcal
could smell the smoke when i drove to san jose for work
my kids football games have been cancelled cause of the smoke
have fam that died cause of the fires and lost a home

heard there's fires STILL going on

Tubbs Fire is not even 50% contained, that's burned nearly 35,000 acres.

Atlas, burned 50,000+ and is not even 50% contained.

Adobe, burned 46,000 and is only 10& contained.

Sad man I could see the ashes all the way in the peninsula 60 miles away. Over 40 people killed and they have 9k fire fighters out there working their a**es off. ☹

It's incredibly unreal. The conditions last weekend were vicious 50+ mph winds. Some people had minutes in the middle of the night to try and get out. Some people went into pools.

We had smoke and ash on Tuesday. Schools cancelled on Thursday and Friday. Ridiculously poor air throughout the entire Bay with today being the best day. Wife and 2 year old couldn't even go outside till today.

Sorry for your loss, bruh. Y'all be safe.

I'm in Santa Rosa house sitting for my parents right now. Got a call Monday morning from their neighbor saying there was a fire over the hill. Had to call my parents at 3 AM to find what they wanted out of their house. It was surreal. I could see the smoke coming and the sky getting brighter. Luckily the fire stopped 1.5 miles away. I know people in the burnt down neighborhoods who literally lost everything. One family had to get out their cars and run on foot because so many people were trying to flee and traffic wasn't moving. My high school burned down. Its all so unreal.

RIP to your fam |l.

Hoping everyone is safe and we get enough rain next week to stop these fires.

Yeah, definitely affected the area I was familiar with growing up. Crazy stuff

can't be late when they're still raging...

and no one made a thread.
I was gonna make one the day after it started but since no made one then i figuired no one cared . Lol i had some family evacuate but theyre fine but not everyone was as lucky as pictured

when this happens to LA its gunna be catastrophic.

we continue to sprawl in every direction building "permanent" residences. theres a reason we were a nomadic ppl for thousands of years. Nature isnt here for our narrow minded views of the way this all works.
