Ditching your family is the real issue at hand. You don't have to like an art museum it's okay to be bored. That was quality time lost with people you traveled to see.

I think the fact that you ditched family that you rarely see was lamer than the fact that you were bored at a museum.

That's the bigger issue. You could have sucked it up for a few hours.
