damn i thought NY was competitive....then again i do work in small non-trauma hospitals, im sure if i head into the city the pay is far more competitive.

Are those figures you listed because you work 65+ hours a week?  I work at Cornell Hospital and if you banking more than the base salary for RN's thats pretty interesting.

Are those figures you listed because you work 65+ hours a week?  I work at Cornell Hospital and if you banking more than the base salary for RN's thats pretty interesting. 
 
Well I've been in the field for over 5 years now..I started at a lower hourly rate and have since then gotten raises...bigger hospitals pay more though (Columbia, NYU, Lincoln) Westchester Medical actually pays their perdiems 40$ an hour....so yeah If Cornell is only paying their RNs 30$ an hour, they are getting screwed.
