So, lately I've been noticing most of my jeans, which I bought in urban slim or straight, have almost turned into skinny jeans

What type of material is most prone to shrinking?

Why does it happen?

What controls should I set on the washer/dryer to make sure it doesn't happen?

While you're at it, what's the difference between washing in perm press, hot, and cold?

Normal wear and tear will stretch out the fabric along with bacteria and germs. Washing it shrinks the material along with increasing it's tensile strength.
