What's going on my NT brothers..I have a group seminar interview for Apple tomorrow which is the first step in the interview process. I usually don't ask for advice when it comes to interviews and just have confidence in my abilities, but this is the first interview I've gotten in months of unemployment (

) so I don't wanna blow this opportunity. Can any current or former Apple employees give me advice on how to be noticed/impress the managers there? Any advice will be greatly appreciated. Thank you guys

Oh yeah, and it's just for an Apple Specialist job, not a corporate thing.

Honestly, I know it's mad cliche, but just be yourself. Don't get too dressed up. People wear sneakers, jeans, hats, tees. Be genuine. They'll show you a video and probably do some sort of group exercise. Sometimes they have the group pick a single product in the store and then come up with a sales pitch. Don't be shy and participate, give ideas. They may put you in a group and simply ask you questions. Just answer them naturally with confidence and don't lie.

Used to be a Mac Specialist in college, ugh. Get ready to hate people and deal with unreal crowds. Just be chill if you want this job, nothing special.

Now it all makes sense

I work for Apple Corporate btw. And my interview process was nothing like that.

I work at Apple, one of the best jobs I've had. I'm not a Specialist though. Smaller stores >>>>> Flagships.

I'm gonna try to answer all the questions that have been asked.

@streethoopkilla- It's the Apple Store in Staten Island. I applied months ago and they didn't have any vacancies but they recently sent me an e-mail and I was still unemployed so I jumped on the opportunity.

@Not a sneak- Unfortunately, the store I would work at if the interview(s) went well would be in a mall in the suburbs, which means nothing but rowdy kids, especially on the weekend.

@finns2003- Yeah, I'm not going crazy over the job..I just need something to hold me over until I can find something that will help me in my career field..I graduated college in May, but this NYC job market is brutal..I've been looking for a job non-stop for over 6 months. I've worked retail for years while in college though so I can deal with those annoying people
