C's need to go all the way and dangle Rondo out in front of a projected lotto team for next year and see if anyone bites (plus whatever else?). Take 2 stabs at Wiggins. He's not going to want to hang around through the rebuilding process.

Too late now, but I wish Utah could offer their 2 #1's right now for Rondo.

Orlando could use him, but doubt they would give up picks for him.

Dallas? No lottery picks, but out of conference and with guys that could run at a playoff berth.

The three first-round picks the Nets propose to send to Boston: 2014, 2016 and 2018.

Isn't that a stupid move? This core will last a season at best. They won't have any picks to rebuild with.

They gave up a first round pick for Gerald Wallace. That pick was Damian Lillard. Getting de ja vu x3 here.

 @ Jason Terry possibly having to be coached by his former teammate.
 @ KG being coached by Jason Kidd
 @ Kidd thinking anything he says will be taken serious by Pierce after being coached by Doc Rivers

Im sorry...it may not be funny to anyone else, but the whole situation is just funny as hell to me

Usually players-turned-coaches aren't from the SAME generation of players as the ones they're coaching

you can always trade expiring contracts to gets picks and in two years some of those big contracts they have now will be expiring

They're in win now mode anyway, but yikes is that giving up a lot of picks.

And get Rondo on the trade block and start the tanking.

If they can find the right team.

And realistically,

A core of JJ , Dwill and Lopez is in the playoffs every year, those 1st rounders aren't worth much down the road, they def aren't lottery picks.

I wouldn't be so sure. 2 seasons is a long time and the D Will / JJ / Lopez core didn't exactly look young or anything this year. Not signing them up to fall off, but it's certainly possible.

2018's pick certainly has a high chance of being in the lottery.

I guess that's the price of going all-in now.

The Nyets have no idea what they're doing. If the Celtics didn't draft as poorly as they did in 2012 the rebuilding process would be somewhat interesting.

nets should do that trade, as mentioned those draft pics shouldnt be high picks if they do good and make the playoffs, like they should,... garnett and pierce /joe johnson contracts run out in 2/3 years so its not like they tied in money wise down the line

This is a good trade for the Nets for the present moment.

Down the line? Bad trade.

But this is what Brooklyn is now.

They probably want to kick of the Draft at the Barclays Center with a big announcement.

They've gone to KG to see if he'll waive his clause, meaning the teams have pretty much agreed.

Wiggins and randle on the same team? :nerd:

Mother of god

Man thats alot of pressure on KG :smh:

Paul probably textin him right now to sign off on this. He wants one more crack at the Heat.

In proposed deal, Nets would send Celtics 1st-rd picks in 2014, 2016, 2018. The latter two would be unprotected, per source.

Nets guard Deron Williams just walked into lockeroom at Barclays. When asked his thoughts on KG, PP, he smiled and said, "Well see."

Brooklyn already traded the #6 for a declining Wallace

resigned him to a long term contract that pays him 10 mil a year

then traded for Joe Johnson who makes 20+ mil annually.

They clearly give no dambs about the future. I support the kg/pierce trade

unprotected... of course

Y! Sources: As Nets-Celtics finalize a deal, the onus belongs to Kevin Garnett to approve blockbuster deal.
