He should create an account with the irs website. He can look at past stimulus info.
Also upon filing taxes this year, you get 2-3 prompts asking about stimulus money. They confirm you did or didn’t receive it and make sure the amounts are accurate. I’f you say no to either, you’ll get an instant credit
