Official CAR AUDIO Thread FAQ added

What are some of the best newer NAV/DVD double Dins?

So far I'm looking at
Pioneer AVIC-X920BT
Sony XNV-770BT
Alpine INA-W900BT

will be copping those phoenix gold 6.5" this week, but I want to know why did to go? the volume wasnt all the way and the amp seems to be working fine. Already copped a yellow top optima battery, going to swap the alternator with a nissan quest alternator which is a 110 amp (from the original 80) and swapping the wiring. Will post pics this coming week..

is there anything cheaper than that avic z10bt?

Your speakers probably blew due to a clipped signal. I told you to get a new amp

Will be coppin all this friday. Do you know of any nice looking battery relocator kit? The ones in password jdm are too small, might as well make my own

DIY is your best  bet

The crescendo is a 4 channel so you got 2 extra channels for a sub incase u get one in the future. If you do get one, make sure it's either single 4 ohm or dual 2 ohm.

im buying a 2008 buick lacrosse next month, i want to have some knock when i ride, bass and clarity in the audio..im talkin bose clarity...what setup should i get what speakers shall i get help?

I just ordered the amp today and its already on its way

Does it matter where I mount the amp? I was thinking of tying it up to the back of the seat and tuck all the wiring. The back of the rear seat has some rust on the surface tho so Im not sure if it would affect or damage the amp, will try to remove it or put a cover

not my car but where the battery is and where I want to mount the amp

behind seat

this is how the rust is, typical for every s13

this is what I want to get to do

Deadening the floors is gonna cost bread

I just finished deadening my moms new accord. Did the trunk, floors, pillars, rear deck, under hood, roof, and wheel wells. Car is quieter than my chicks 335.

I dont know how much he spent in all but it looks nice. I imagine it must be quite as $@&(

Also, I was looking into the RAAMAT and was wondering how much RAAMmat and Ensolite you ended up using?  Love the details!   I got the 62 sq ft roll it will probably be just enough to do the floor and doors and maybe 4-5 sq ft of ensolite should do it, ran me around $200 not bad and much cheaper than dynamat.  If you want to do a little more than I did def get the 100 sq ft roll you'll need it.[/quote]

Tonight laid down a layer of raamaudio ensolite its a closed cell foam to help absorb some more road noise

Floor, rear deck, trunk, doors fully sealed and deadened is gonna be around 700

Good thing about it is you can do it little by little

Driver's side door speaker died so I'm finally gonna put my PG RSD comps in... or at least try to. I may just punk out and get a shop to do it because as I understand hooking up comps is a %%%*# especially trying to amp them like I'm trying to do
