In case you hadn't seen the terrible news, Lester Legarda, aka
salacious crumb
, died after being struck by a car while riding his bike in San Mateo, Calif. on Monday. His local cycling club, PenVelo, is sponsoring his GoFundMe to support his family (thanks to
keepemfresh
for the heads-up) and I've confirmed with PenVelo that they are, in fact, behind that fund drive (I can provide the email proof to the mods if there are any questions).
No idea if he had kids or what, but I know a 37 year old dying that unexpectedly is going to leave a significant hole for a lot of people, regardless.
So, if you have the means to be able to spare something for his family, I think it would mean a lot if we could show what kind of a tight-knit group this big-*** community is.
