There is really nothing to it for the upper. Use Angelus leather preparer & de-glazer, acetone, or nail polish remover over the entire upper. Then paint 2-3 thin coats on flat black paint.

There are multiple vids on youtube that show this process

I hope the Maroons have the same leather as these . This was the softest most buttery leather I have ever seen on any 6.

^^By far. The consensus is the price is too much for a low.

My rationale to purchase wasn't price driven so I was grabbing anyway but, the quality really was a surprise.

Somebody said "these looked cheap". Immediately I knew, they hadn't seen the shoe. Just posting fluff.

No need to cover them. Since you'll be doing thin coats of paint, when the brush passes over the holes there will only be enough paint on the brush so that is stays on the surface.
