oh, haha. yeah that's probably it.

I have noticed that too... luckily I wasn't walking much in them
 
Yeah that's exactly what I meant. If I do extensive walking with them (or worse, ball in them) without longer socks, the back of my achilles will be demolished. In some cases, it starts bleeding because of the irritation, the heel tab scrapes it
