Nike. Make a raffle system. It's the only way for these limited releases. 30 min RSVP window with Nike selecting random DM's during that entire time. Also an In store raffle system, which somehow displays the winning numbers pulled out for everyone to see.

Raffle systems only benefit those that can easily access the store. I know we only have 1 Niketown type of store in the MD area and thats in DC which is a pain to get to especially during the work week. In-store raffles are rigged also.
They could always implement an online raffle similar to what Finishline uses from time to time and remove/disqualify all of the duplicate entries.

If evilside's efforts showed nike anything, I really hope they send some higher level people to the stores for the release to handle the retweet of unclaimed pairs or to manage the process and ensure that the employees dont just grab them all up.

This is a pretty significant release so they can spend a little extra time making some sense of things.
 
I DON'T KNOW WHAT PEOPLE EXPECT WITH THESE RELEASES THAT CAN POCKET A LOT OF CHANGE IF YOU OBTAIN THEM. IS THAT NOT WHAT YOU WILL DO WITH THE SHOES IF YOU OBTAIN THEM? MOST ARE GOING TO GET AND FLIP FOR THE PROFIT. EVEN THOSE WHO SAY THEY WILL WEAR THEM, HELL THEY MAY WEAR THEM BUT IN THE FUTURE WHEN THEY WANT TO SELL THE SHOE, THEY AREN'T GOING TO SELL THEM FOR RETAIL. WHY WOULD ANY OF THESE EMPLOYEES FIGHT FAIR WHEN THERE IS THOUSANDS AT STAKE? WHY WOULD ONE NOT LOOK TO EXPLOIT THE SYSTEM WHEN THERE IS ALSO THOUSANDS AT STAKE?

True dat. And really these kinds of releases are small change for Nike. What I don't understand is why they do it. How many mil is Lebrons Nike contract worth? Why do they act shy with the stuff everyone wants. Seems like they are not even trying to max profits

To keep people wanting. They make everything gr and there is no demand. There is a balance Nike is trying to maintain to keep the masses interested. Its the struggle between staying relevant and satisfying their fanatics. The people at Nike are geniuses at marketing but are failing at making sure the most sought after items get into the hands of their fanatics.

Reality is NIKE has to change something.  These packs don't make nike any money, they are only tools to build hype and marketing at its best.  Problem is NIKE has to earn market share every quarter or in other words convert non-nike customers into customers AND keep those customers.  "Sneakerheads" or "shoe collectors" are a very small percentage of their customer base.  

Bad publicity turns most people away.  If a potential customer sees all the hoops people have to jump through to get kicks not knowing the sneaker culture they will choose another brand. Truth is look at the competition, Under Armour... (EX-NIKE EMPLOYEES LOL) stock is currently at 72.00+ a share and nike's is sitting at 66.00. Keep in mind Under Armour doesn't have a Jordan Brand at the core of their sales and major names like KD and KOBE and lebron but their stock is trading 6.00 more per share than nike and they haven't been in business near as long nike has.

Nike is well aware most of these packs will be resold, and well aware of the shadiness but you take all the limited releases and every thread is almost the same, except now EVILSIDE has changed the game.  Basically he's telling nike if you want to pull this limited crap off you better try harder than what you've been doing or make more shoes.  This is cutting into nike's pocket, now they have to pay or hire better programmers and implement new systems to sell "limited" kicks, and they have to constantly update these systems to beat out "cheaters." and evolving bots.

Exactly. The fact is nike really couldn't give a damn who gets the shoes or if they resale etc.. but if there is mass corruption like this they MUST change it because it makes the whole company look BAD. Now they are forced to change it all, believe me the whole rsvp/botting is done in the close future.

thats the truth...its to the point where we have to guess what size we wear in a sneaker because we cant try them on before we purchase

Online raffle won't work either. You're going to have dudes in africa doing a raffle for nike nyc. There are still going to be remaining pairs.
