All this trash should be replaced by pairs of Orlandos. The way Nike has done this latest Penny 1 release strategy is a muthfookin JOKE. It's trying to use the Jordan retro strategy: Release loads of stupid colorways trying to get fools to buy them because once people have the OG colorway, no one cares anymore. It's probably, sadly, working for the company because its margins are so high. Even if it sends lots of these to outlets, it still makes money.
Difference is, everyone knows and wants Jordans. And will buy them in various colors. Penny line is far more niche. Always has been, relatively speaking. Nike trying to make it a hyped shoe but the only people it's ever going to be hype to is us old fools, mostly. And we can't actually get the gdamn pair we want.
That's fine, though, Nike. No way in hell I'm falling for your nonsense and buying these other crap colorways as some sort of consolation LOL
