Just diss chicago like thatvegas or nyc or other?
sorry bro' didn't mean to...Just diss chicago like that
Just to give the store's perspective -- As a store manager, I only have a small amount of pairs, that will sell out, no question. Why not try to get as much additional revenue / social media exposure as possible?
honestly it sould be spend $250 in store and you secure a pair just like major
yeah true, i found a vid on youtube of a interview with one of the greensboro managers and he says "we would rather take a hit on a product if it means a life long customer" even tho ive been with them for a while it still turns people away

If people are thirsty enough to drop $750 to get a SMALL chance to buy these shoes at retail, why not let those with deep pockets spend that dough at their store?
It's good...Just frustrating trying to comprehend Nike/JB marketing. I mean how does that meeting go. "Let's launch in NYC, Chi, & Vegas-keep it exclusive" "Ok...what about down south...Houston perhaps??" Marketing exec:"Nah...let's move units in Cleveland" Whaaat?!@Cgunesq ... Sorry for misread of your post. Yeah, I don't get the lack of love for Houston given Drizzy's connection to the area. The same for SoCal .... And particulaly if 10/3 is going to be the apparel side of the drop and not more kicks. SMH.

I get the point of milking the opportunity but spending $750 for a chance to cop at retail is overdoing it. It'd be better if it's a guaranteed pair for every dude who spends $250 or even $500. At least I know that I'll get the shoes if I spend enough. Customers who buy $750 of merch and who lose the raffle will definitely be too pissed to come back.

Sounds about right. Heard another spot gave out 30+ tickets closer to 50. And I've seen a lot of guaranteed tickets from the same stores, from different people of course. So I guess the shops that got them got a decent amount. Once we see the production dates we can know for sure, but maybe if nike is not releasing them they just gave the shops more pairs than usual. I know for a fact a few shops got more of these than Chi/Pinnacles/Mirrors, and a probably a lot more.I got nothing, obviously. There must have been around 150 people there. Maybe even 200. I got there at around 8:30 and they had already started giving out tickets. I estimate they gave out between 50-75 tickets, which is quite a lot for a limited shoe.
Too pissed to come back, until they have another chance to get something limited. That's why these boutiques can do these things because they know some people will always bite and continue to bite as long as they keep providing anything. Even if it is just a chance

there we goretail or bust
No, retail or bust if for people who have a chance; I live in South Carolina and do not have as many connections or friends (only one or two) as others. All in all I will stay subscribed to see how the release plays out but I wish you all good luck in securing your pairs!come on dude might as well just say retail or bust

This ebay pic is killing me:
Not surprised, you see people selling Shattered Backboards for $999.99 on eBay. The sneaker culture is all about money now instead of love for sneakers and wearing them to feel like the person the shoes were originally designed for. I wish we could back to that time but...

I'd say you have a better chance of getting it for retail online than finding a reseller who's willing to let these go for $100 profit. lol

I know that but as of right now there is no online release for these.
