OFFICIAL Ye fka "kanYe West" x G.O.O.D. Music Thread - ¥$ (AKA YE X TY DOLLA SIGN) - VULTURES (NOW AVAILABLE WOWWWW)

Song isn't that great but glad he coming at Nike's neck. I think Nike has been lazy and been taking advantage of loyalty, hopefully they step their game up.
The problem is he just gave Nike more promotion by shouting them out over and over on the song

The smart thing would be to not mention them. You won't hear Lebron mention "adidas" or "underarmour" lol, that's giving them free promo

^ What's annoying about the sneaker community, is that you have people who have this condescending superiority complex.

Is the Yeezy inspired by trainers with its design ? DUH...

Is it the first all red shoe ? No...DUH...

The point of the post was to say with or without Kanye, Nike can put out a very similar designed shoe with the same colorway. Only difference is it won't sell as well because it's not attached to Kanye's name.

And the fact that it's not insanely limited. When you can get the Cruz at Champs and Shiek ain't nobody trying to line up for a month to get it.

No what's annoying about the sneaker community is how some honestly compare a fly to a blue whale.

JB probably moved more pairs of the aquas that are still in a lot of stores, by themselves that first weekend, than all Yeezy 350 and 750 boost combined.

There's no comparison between Nike or JB and Adidas, in America, much less the Yeezy portion of the line.

Exactly. Galaxy Foams didn't sell/resell because of anything but perceived exclusivity/availability.

Pigeon Dunks. Tiffany Lows. Artist Series. This is nothing new.

I think he worded it the right way so LeBron will know that he's aiming at Nike and not him.  Do y'all think he'll announce an official release date for 'Swish' before he releases it? I remember him saying release dates aren't cool anymore....

Yeezys definitely move but considering they only drop five to six this year he ain't rly gaining ground on any brand as a whole.

That doesn't mean they move. That chart means people buy them to resell, because that's what Campless looks at. If you're in the sneaker game, why wouldn't you want a pair? You can use a pair to buy three or four other pairs.

A Yeezy release might be 30 or 40,000.

A Jordan release might be 300,000 or 400,000. That's for one release. Not the two or three other general release retros that month or the other limited/QS they might put out that month. Those ugly *** team Jordans move 10 or 20. A alternate 89 release might be sitting, but they probably still sold 100,000+ that weekend.

Yeah that means a lot

Post something that means something

http://news.nike.com/news/nike-inc-reports-fiscal-2016-second-quarter-results

Revenues for NIKE, Inc. increased 4 percent to $7.7 billion, up 12 percent on a currency neutral basis.

or how Nike sold $80 million in Legend Blues

Nike sold 342,015 pairs at major retailers at an average price of $179.80, according to SportScanInfo. It sold an additional 137,751 pairs in kids sizes at an average price of $142.24. Combined, that's more than $81 million in sales.

or how much of the market does Adidas have versus Nike or even Jordan Brand for that matter?

If so many Yeezy's are being sold, why isn't Adidas market share going up? Why? Because not enough are being produced and sold to make a dent in anyones market share. They're still losing market share to Under Armour and Sketchers. Nike? Jordan Brand?

While those are FACTS - Adidas Q3 revenue grew in the double digits, compared to 4%? lol.... this is just the beginning.... not saying Adidas is taking over Nike, that will (probably never happen) BUT Adidas is becoming more relevant and growing at a faster rate.... time will tell.. Adidas needs to be more than a one trick pony which is Kanye..

People in here are quick to act like shareholders so I'll put it in these terms... . if you want growth, buy adidas (which you cant in the U.S) if you want stability, buy Nike..
