do yall think porn is a gateway to sex addiction?
Yes, they are honestly kind of the same thing. I know why you or anyone else may not think they are but they are both under the same umbrella. I'm in a 12 step program, Sex Addicts Anonymous and everyone in there started with porn and graduated on to other things but porn is still a major issue for most of the people I've seen in these meetings. My therapist is a CSAT (certified sex addiction therapist) and she treats porn addiction.

oh im not saying they aren't i kinda think they go hand in hand

Yes especially at a young age
I put pron
Being sexually active really young
And also sexual abuse at a young age a gateway to sex addiction

Most of the above for me (won't say specifically which line, but i was violated as a youf - i'm slightly disturbed/demented because of my childhood traumas).

I was a late bloomer in terms of partnership, but got into xxx content at a very early age (remember getting my first erector at the age of 7 looking at my dad's private stash - we won't even get into the videos, that was just the magazines).

Fast forward 30something years and Pron is very seldom an activity for me now... and i kicked out Social mediums.

But the issue with me as an adult is that i objectify the hell out of my partners/victims (did... but still kinda now).

Learned how to curb that now by just not dating/interacting with women for a period of time.

Really trying to forge healthy/normal relationships with women now and not look at them as sex thangs.

don't we all? typical that is the first law of attraction. that is how we like people is their appearances or bodies, not their personality as that comes after. once all that objectification dies, it's goodbye sex life for you and I doubt you would want that.

I think it's the exact opposite. Access to p*** makes young people less likely to have sex because they know that they can get the dopamine rush and pleasure without having to interact with anyone else. This is why young people are having less sex than prior generations, they are just comfortable watching p***

Porn leads to p*** addiction, not sex addiction.

I view pornography like any other vice. There are people who can watch p*** in moderation and it doesn't ruin their sex drive or relationships with other people. There are other people who become addicted the very first time they watch p***. Same goes for drinking, most people can drink in moderation to where it doesn't ruin their lives but on the other end of the spectrum there are people who become addicted the moment alcohol touches their lips.

Yeah depending on your vice, some folks can moderate, others it negatively affects their lives so it's best to abstain.
