Is there any break-in time associated with MMM Hi-Straps/ Vag?  Whenever I step forward, the seam above the eyestay, or second seam from above the shoe, flexes and pinches my toes quite considerably.  BTW, this is the black patent version, and I am wondering if this pinching may be due to the thicker material.

I have pairs of the leather and suede drivers and I went down 1/2 a size. Keep in mind that they will stretch. I could've went a full size down but I prefer to have them fit a little loose

Just to clarify, 1/2 size down from your US size or the printed Tod's size? In reviews I see people say they "run big" but aren't taking into account that they're euro sized.

I'm a true size 9 in everything (nikes, j's, etc...) and 1/2 size down is 8.5 (US sizing). But for Tod's sizing it's 7.5 which is printed on the box.
