Royce SHOULD be one of the most popular rappers in the game based on skills alone. But, we all know how that goes.

Thats what i think, but i agree no one appreciates good lyricism any more and it really is a shame. None of the @@@$ that gets played today could fly back in the day where you actually needed to have skills, skills went just an extra and optional part of the package. But for real i dont know Royce can do some big things. If he gets signed by Nas... i mean its not like he really fell hard he was locked up for a year but now he is back and he is finished with his Premo produced album and ive heard a few songs one song called "Shake This" is mad nice. And i think hes gotta better chance to blow up than Saigon right now cause his beats will be off the chains cause of Prem, and he obviously got the lyrics especially in that new song "Shake This" he spits it nasty. He is no doubt talented, i think he has not fallen yet, this album could be big. One things for sure im rooting for him hard. Hip-Hop needs to go back to rappers with actual skill and most of the rappers still with skill from back in the day are too old right now like Nas and Hov. Hopefully Royce will sign with Nas and Nas can put him under his wing along with Prem on the tracks and Nas can thelp make him big as the face of "The Jones Experience"Originally Posted by itsphillthy

Thats why i said the "next" big. Maybe he wont be pulling down record sales like Lil' Wayne because he cant reach out to thataudience. But hes good enough to be the next big artist in terms of like that kind of class the Nas class. He wont be Nas, but i think he can be the biggest oflike the rest of the group. But i dont mean hes gonna be pulling in double platinum because yall are right not even Nas is doing that right now because thegood artists arent making it right now. I still think his next album "Street Hop" produced by Premier though will be big.Originally Posted by lnMyMind
Maybe that's YOUR interpretation of BIG but BIG to the masses pertains to one's popularity.
Someone who millions don't know about can't be considered BIG. Nas can put out an album tomorrow and at least move 200-300K because he's a "big" artist. Royce will never have that luxury.

Royce is nice but as far as next "BIG" Thing it's just not gonna happen. Unfortunately talent no longer means that the hiphop world will embrace you
