After spending the past few weekends enjoying college basketball, I've come to notice just how turrible the nba officiating is. No the isn't about "superstar" calls for which apparently the youngest MVP ever didn't qualify. I instead noticed how often college refs hold player accountable for basic rule violations like travels, carries and lane violations. Conversely, in the NBA the players are left to play as they please.
Basketball, my favorite sport word to Kurtis Blow, is the game where the amateurs are more closely policed than professionals. MLB uses wooden bats and bigger parks. NFL receivers have to get both feet inbounds. NCAA hoopers get 5 fouls and have to play by the rules while their pay for play counterparts are get 6 fouls and a carteblanche to do whatever. Am I crazy or is this a problem?
