So, right now i'm in the police academy and we do PT every day, which means we run everyday. I was running in the Ultra Boost. While they are comfy to run in, they don't have enough stability for my size (6'4'' 229 pounds). After realizing that I need stability, I was running in my Air max 2013's, but they tend to put a lot of pressure on my knees, which causes pain afterwards. That was when I realized I have "runners knee". When I walk up stairs and so forth, my knees tend to hurt and at times when I'm driving, my knees be in pain as well. SO, i'm looking for a good shoe that is very comfortable, but very durable with stability that won't put pressure on my knees. I'm starting to realize that Nike Air max's are horrible shoes for pound for pound running. My PT instructor was telling me about this brand called Brooks, which he said, that they are the best running shoes you could get. Anyone have any idea's or advice that they can give me on a shoe that is good for protecting my knees while running? Thanks in advance.
