...good thing i have a pair of the reg. 08s too...do THOSE crack as bad also?
 
_Every_ AM90 heel part of the sole will crack in time, just give it enough wear.

As for the cracking issue, I've tried on my VNDS '99 Cool Grey AM95's and did a lil walking around the house, and they seem to hold up fine.
 
i think with nike quality these days... its a lot of hit or miss.

i've worn mine for months now; and 6 days out of 7 in the past week - 12 hours a day. they're still okay...

jake, there are some angry people about the USAs. You are the envy of some high profile people man. I love those BWs man. BWs in general are a very underratedshoe.

But yeah, those Persians were on the bay mis-labeled like crazy!!!! They were listed as "Used Nike Air Max 1..." I was like whatever... SOLD!!!!!

....i say wait till the cracking get's really bad, strip the paint and thenredo the paint urself with a much better coating.
