I think anti was saying nothing more than dude is a chump for tossing the Jersey of a team that drafted him.
And he is, a chump.
This is the problem with having a draft. Straight up socialism, players should not be forced to play for garbage teams and cities

They aren't forced. They can sign wherever they like, just not in the NBA.

It's a privilege not a right
It's stupid to reward teams for failing. This is what happens when losers spend all their time complaining when winners are too busy doing things right. Rookies should be able to sign with whoever they want. If your sorry mass team can't attract a decent rookie then it's time to look in the mirror and do better next year

I actually think Okafor dropping the jersey like that isn't a huge deal. We're now reading into it too much. But at first glance it definitely looks funny.

Whats up with the Sixers slander. We have it hard as it is already

Its only been 3 years since we have been in the playoffs. You guys make it seem like we have been rebuilding the last 10 years.

I forgot what player alluded to this on draft night, saying he could pick his own team at every level but now control is taken out of his hands.

Looking at their timeline, I am of the belief they will put a more competitive team the season after next.

Well they truly never wanted embiid nor okafor. They will have to package one of their bigs along with this year's first rounder to get anything worthwhile. Question is, who? Boogie would be a nice option if they didn't already have every center in the galaxy. They're just taking shots in the dark.

You can't be serious with Rookies being able to sign wherever they want, but I think you are.

Who'd want to watch an NBA where team A B and C get the dope picks every year.

Don't forget this is business first and a TV show for us fans second.

If Rookies don't like the control being taken out of their hands by having to be drafted when up until they start expecting millions for doing it, they were allowed to choose the best team FOR THEM, then they can go to Europe or Asia and oick whichever team they'd like.

Just don't complain about it kid, if you want that NBA money, because they control their business, not some dime a dozen prospect

You won't have all the good rookies signing with the same teams every year because of the cap and roster size limits. The talent will slowly trickle down to the garbage franchises which is fitting because no one should be rewarded for losing.

Yes each team is a business so the talent they get should be based on how they can sell them selfs to incoming rookies rather than how hard they can throw games with a bit of luck added in

It would fix tanking and it would fix all these great talents being wasted in poorly run organizations

This cry about people more successful than you mentality needs to stop. Smarten up and put in the effort to change your team for the better

You can make it like free agency and teams have X amount of money to sign a prospect.

Would prospect A go to Chicago for $1M a year or to Detroit for $3M?

Pardon me if this picture has been posted before but I've never seen it. That's Arvydas Sabonis to Porzingis' left. Listed as 7'3" when he played Arvydas Sabonis.

No way Jose.

If anything keep the Rookie Contracts and keep the Draft but do away with the order.

Make it a straight Lottery and wherever the cards fall is where they fall.

That way bad teams aren't rewarded for tanking.

Put 30 cards on the table shuffle them, and pass them out. Done.

This is terrible for the teams and sends the wrong message to the children. Success comes from doing things the right way, not luck
