And people need to start moving past the "OMG THEY OVERPAID" as it's been mentioned a hundred times, the rising cap will make these 15 million dollar a year contracts look a lot more reasonable. I was a victim of that myself when I saw "Paul Millsap 20 million a year?!?" but it's the new norm with the rising cap.

So how many players now have turned down max contracts from the Lakers?

About as many as the Rockets.

All those players that passed on the Rockets were able to get full max deals that the Rockets couldn't give them. Players that passed on and will continue to due do so because they don't want to be there and would not have made sense to go anyway

So the Rockets offered them a max contract and they said no.

4 years, $60 mil. I regard Middleton as a better player and higher ceiling.

Middleton defintely has a higher ceiling but Carroll is the goods, he was the best offensive player on the Hawks in the playoff before he got hurt.

I think if that injury doesn't happen and he plays well againt the Cavs, he probably could've gotten a little more.

No question he has had attitude problems and free throw issues, but Rondo turns a top 4-6 seed in the east into an ECF champion. Carrol wont do that.

of course, but its by no means "huge for the clippers"

chandler will never be able to match the energy of deandre, but to be fair no one in the league can
