Leading back to that NYC is the mecca of basketball discussion, just finished watching "Doin it in the Park" on Netflix, not too bad of a documentary.

NYC isn't the Mecca. MSG is called the Mecca. NY wanting to claim everything extended it to the whole State.
The arena is famous for various reasons but basketball? If opposing players coming to town baking the Knicks makes it the Mecca then hey, I guess it's the Mecca.
In today's Internet age the world is smaller and everyone knows the best basketball players don't come from NY. An NY basketball history sucks in modern times. Calling NY the Mecca of basketball is a very hollow claim.
They also have all these 2nd Round Picks, and with the exception of Tokoto, they kept drafting bigs, which are not even needs. And were wasted picks. Why not bunch those 2nds together to move up whether this year or next season. Instead you basically just throw away picks.
Anyone know when the NBA schedule typically releases.
Hinkie has no ethics. His brand is bad for business.
Doesn't work like this, especially when none of the other gms in the league respect you. You can't just consolidate mediocre picks and expect a great return. Didn't work for ainge, didn't work for hinkie, hardly ever happens. Not all picks are "assets". People were trying to tell me to look at it as having currency. Nah
