American Gangster is a personal classic. My 3rd favorite Hov album.


That 70's soul sample production and Jay was in rare form lyrically.

American Gangster might be Jays second best album.

That was Jay going back in tough. Not talking about paintings and what not. I am a Jay fan, seen him in concert 3 times but I can be fairly honest.

Far from his best album but there's some good songs on here. Man this thread took me back. BP3 dropped my sophomore year in college . We used to stay bumping this in da car & dorms. Fav track was Thank You . Track was so smooth.

I always liked the vintage sounding beat on Hello Brooklyn and Jay was spittin on Blue Magic.
