I own nothing from the original 92 run or the recent over hyped underwhelming (imo) retro release or the missed opportunity to do a update Olympic run also I don’t own any of the fake Jesse Owens pieces (some was nice I must admit) as I feel a lot more could have been done to hi light the legacy of both entities.

Never not creating
Using the same bayport style jacket the plates used as the canvas I based the front on the tracksuits the athletes wore in 1968 Olympics games in Mexico City and the most recent 1992 plates denim jacket.

I chose to used Chenille athletic patches instead of satin or tackle twill just to add something different and the blue pwing patch from my guy one of the original lo lifes RACK LO over at rl jewelry’s online store or just hit em in the gram. All patches hand sewn

Now the back is entirely hand painted image of the iconic photo that shook the world
of gold silver and bronze medal winners.
USA athletes tommy smith and John Carlos and Australia peter Norman(his story is just as iLL that’s why I did not omit him .
It also incorporates the logo from the 68 Mexico games along whit the button worn by the athletes.
Had fun doing this.

The 92 Polo Stadium is basically the 1984 Olympics Adidas marathon kit.

Ask Adidas to re release that 1984 marathon/summer kit with the number plate attached and thats it. lol

Polo sampled the hell out of this kit.

The design Lo lives in Brooklyn fell in love with.

The actual Adidas plate.

If Ralph won't do another original colorway stadium run, ask Adidas for a 84 Olympics run
with the plates on the tees. You will most likely get it.

*I sent a request to Adidas for the 1984 running bib tank top and pullover.
In Summer we will see if they listened.

OG looks like a heavyweight knit while this contemporary version is a midweight which I prefer honestly cuz texas ain't that cold, plus it got that RRL vibe

msrp is 8 bills and I got it for 280 270... worth it imo
