I can think of Mike Jones, Webbie/Boosie/Trill Fam, E-40, Lil' Flip, and Paul Wall off the top of my head, and during that time (2004-maybe 2008), they all had hits or had strong buzz.

When "Up Jumps Da Boogie" dropped when I was in either 5th or 6th grade :x :x :pimp:
