TV experts/amateurs anyone really...lend me your ears

Looking to buy a TV to go back to school with. nothing extreme
Cliffs
guess about 30 inches or less
nothing that would suffer from extended gaming sessions
hdmi port must
ports for plugging your pc/laptop isnt a must but would be nice
somewhere in the range of 250-300

this is more of a thread to ask you guys opinions/stories on brands and features and what not

Wal-Mart always a good deal on TVs, check there.

Me personally I have an LG and I love it.

Sharp is also a good brand to go with
