Peter Keefe, an animation executive and producer best known as thecreative force behind the iconic children's TV series "Voltron,"died May 27 of throat cancer in Rochester, N.Y. He was 57.

What's up with this? I'm really starting to believe people with similar achievements pass away in bunches.....word to my Thundercats Thread
 
Yea but at least this is throat cancer not "we found his arm in the crib" or wherever it was
 
I did not know he lived less than an hour away from me.... That's just crazy.

I remember I had the big Voltron. I lost the shield and the sword. And then later on I lost the red tiger

This was actually what the company originally ordered to be made into Voltron. But since they only asked for the show with the lion, they got sent GoLion instead, which became the Voltron we all love and know
 
rip, they say cartoonist's deaths come in 5 interchangeable parts.  First thundercats dude now this.
