What is the appeal of music festivals like Coachella, Ultra, Glastonbury?

Went to Coachella this year and had a good time. The music and scenery really made the trip worth it. Oh and the scantily clad females . People were cool for the most part but it definitely is bro city. Got a lot of random high fives.

Tried camping and dont think I'll be doing it again unless its the VIP tents. Some really cool setups but too much for someone traveling from the east coast. My neighbors were hardcore druggies and that's just not my thing.

Might hit Firefly if the lineup is cool. Do want to go back to Coachella at least one more time.

This was good.

AMERICAN EXPERIENCE Woodstock Season 31 Episode 6 | 1h 39m 1s In August, 1969, half a million people from all walks of life and every corner of the country converged on a small dairy farm in upstate New York. They came to hear the concert of their lives, but most experienced something far more profound. -
