When it comes to basketball, Nike or Adidas, Which one is better?

As my boyfriend is really a  basketball fan, so I always need to buy him new basketball shoes. 

As I am not quite interested in basketball, so I don't know which brand is  better.

I always wear Adidas Neo Series as I think the design is quite fashion.

Any boys can give me suggestions?
