I agree with Kingtre 100%. 10-14 hour days, commission sales, door to door, physical labor....etc Damn all that. It gets old REAL fast. I know about all them jobs, Im physical as hell. I done drove, warehouse, landscaping, cooked all that. I put in all that blue collar work and it SUCKS. An I'm in GREAT shape. Sales are cool but its sketchy an really it aint for everybody, to dude who does that respect. Hell I even done that before ATT Uverse when it first hit the market. I quit after a week. Hell working in Iraq for 3 years living that military life sucks too an that guy makes bank. Ionno man to each their own but trucker, plumbing an all that will suck when 30+ hits an you wanna chill, start a family an start feeling older. NEVER be complacent.

do you work at a legit casino or an underground poker club? my friend worked as a dealer and he made a couple hundred a night strictly on tips, no hourly wages, but he worked from 10pm all the way til the next morning sometimes. the people there play 1/2 or 2/5 texas holdem so it was easy to rake/get tipped a lot

man I`m working in wireless, money is good, work life balance is trash, kinda over it now, not really utilizing my degree but I've been doing it since my senior yr of college last year

Don't fret, many really don't utilize their degrees.

my Degree is a BBA in Computer Info Systems, in the company I could def use my degree, but heck all the positions even internally want OD experience lol, I've been thinking when it came time for me to get my masters doing Marketing along with MIS cause of all the sales experience I have, and maybe tweaking that into product development, because I`m about to start teaching myself how to make mobile apps, I'm on path to make about 52k this yr, but like I said work life balance sucks, and I`m starting to feel like I`m wasting my potential, Im the youngest and smartest person at my job, but my skills are not being used. I will say for being 23 I`m doing better than a lot of people my age.

if you don't got a degree try wireless sales, get some IT or computer certifications, or pick up a trade and you would make at least 40 k....

but just know this one of the advantages of having a college degree is you don't have to work harder and sometimes in more comfortable environments while putting in less hours to make ur money... I graduated from college, got a job making in the 40's (which is def less that some ppl in this thread smh) but I work a set 40 hours a week, no weekends, I can relax at my desk and computer all day, and never have to work overtime or take my work home

If your sorta smart join the military for a technical job.

people say college doesnt matter...

it doesnt matter if you're trying to be comfortable.

but if you're trying to get into the 6 figures, it seems like you'd more than likely need some kind of degree.

i'm surprised this thread hasnt exploded the way people talk down on college...

I am a Mechanical Engineer(26 years old) and with my bonus I make 75K+. I work in fibers industry in South Carolina which is doing well over all right now.

Now after reading some comments, I think college or some sort of technical trait is a must if you want long term finical gain. I know in my industry we are looking hard for younger mechanics and electricians but cant find any. If fact in my planet the youngest electrician or mechanic is like 36. And its not because we dont hire younger people, but its because hardly anyone in our generation took that path. And trust me these mechanics at my plant get paid 65+ depending over time. We have some that 100K!

wow thread grew overnight..thanks to everyone for contributing...i was thinking bout the air force thing as well..heard they take care of you the best and finding a job when you get out is really nice

legit casino with benefits and all the bells and whistles. with hourly wage of minimum wage + tips.scheduled for 8 hours but like i said it i never work 8 and if i do get paid for 8 its with like 2.5-3 hours worth of breaks . never ever hit 80 hours. i average about 50-60 hours .

Well Tester. Last year I made 147k. 24 years old. Didn't work as much as I usually do for last year. Had a month in between switching companies and a lot of time off at the end of the year to be with my newborn twins. Only have a year and a half to be done with school.

Do a Google search for jobs that can be had with a finance degree. Find out which big reputable companies offer those jobs then find out if they recruit at your school so you can get an internship which will lead to a full time offer. Also try to join a student organization for finance majors because they often hold events that finance professionals attend and you can network with them

THIS. I'm all about people finding what they're passionate about; what you could really see yourself doing until you retire; and finding a way to monetize that. You may not make as much as you would doing something traditional (you may even spend some money) but given time you could really do something special with it because ideally you'd love doing it. If you're young with little to no responsibilities I don't see why you would do it any other way. Just speaking from experience.

1) what do yall do - buyer/purchaser
2) where do you live - dallas, tx
3) how much yall make - 45k
