If you wear them, dirt makes shoes yellow quicker, not water. As long as you let them dry before shoving them back into the box, there shouldn't be much of a moisture issue

I'd take a wet paper towel and just wipe them down. That should do the trick as long as no gunk is stuck

The last pair I got were the Steel 10's from last year. Didn't really notice it on those. I know some of you experienced it before but this is the first time I noticed how strong the odor is.

It looks like a glue stain. You should be able to peel/scrape it off without messing up the rubber
