i play a lot of soccer, so i'm used to being in a much lower chassis. wearing airmax makes me feel like i'm wearing high heels - like my ankle could go off of a cliff at any time. zoom air is where it's always been at for me; i wish nike would bring it back to being prominent.

it can either be just fine, or pathetic. a couple of my buddies are on a friday night co-ed team and needed an extra, and then i get to the facility and their rule is that guys (other than the keeper) cannot defend girls whatsoever (farmington sports arena in CT). thus, your last 'man' back...

barca kit looks great. glad the hoops were a one and done thing. the mirror reported today that FCB is still in talks with qatar airways to renew the shirt sponsorship, but sponsor-free (or unicef) would be great. for alternates, i'd expect something senyera-related, and a light blue third kit...

I had them in.... Third grade? Everyone called them ninja turtle shoes. I'll see if I can find them in my folks' basement. Maybe there's a UPC or some sort of identification on a tag. I don't think they're the huarache trainers.

in terms of match balls, nike makes the superior ball. no question in my mind. the only adidas ball i've liked in the past, idk, 15 years is the tango 12. the rest of their balls are built to fly like a cheap playground ball you'd buy at a supermarket for 99 cents - so that it becomes easier...

^and i wonder if these even see the light of day in the US market. anything with an SG plate is lucky to get a limited release here, so i wouldn't be surprised if "anti clog" (a much bigger issue on SG) follows that supposed logic. they're much more common in europe. that being said, that plate...

i have two different pairs of the non-CR7 version. i love them and wear them in the gym daily. they look even better in person. fit is true to size. only complaint is that there isn't a loop on the achilles to help getting them on.

i dig the USA 'leak' as a warmup top, but i'd be worried if that's any indication of a new nike template. and the centennial logo should be the permanent logo, not that. it's better than what we have now, but not by much.

alaska airlines recently (in the past two weeks) changed their wordmark. i wonder if that will be reflected on the 2016 timbers shirt, or it's too late for that to happen.

the soleplate on the blacked out magista 2 is so clunky - a step backwards. bring back the intertract blades!

maybe i'm old fashioned, but there's no way a laceless boot will be anything more than a fad. maybe it'll work for the pros, since they'll have their pairs personalized from a mold of their feet at the factory. ozil will probably wear these for a match or two, and then switch to something else...
