Here was my clay green highs after a 9 hour hike. It seems like it's the middle portion of the sole that has the softer "sticky rubber" that wears off and gets ripped out.
I wouldn't recommend using mountain flys for any serious hiking, but easy hikes on flatter ground should work perfectly fine.
I wear most of the ACG tops in medium and I got the same size in the jacket.
It is roomier in the body, but fits perfect with a fleece/sweater layer underneath it. I wouldn't size down IMO.
Hey guys, anyone know how the OG Epoch LX fit?
For reference, I went half down on a pair of Anaheim Authentic 44 DX 5 years ago and they are super snug, but with thin socks I still can wear them. I am also TTS on AM1s, and half down on NB 990v2/992/993.
Thanks so much!
Yeah they are the clay green mountain fly high. I think Nike was trying to be a bit too clever with putting softer rubber in the middle of the sole that wears down or rips off too easily when you hike on anything rocky. Sure it makes it comfortable to walk around in casually but the shoe...

it depends - for instance the I △ ACG tee and those with the retro lungs logo fit very baggy and I could size down if I wanted to, but the regular logo, HIKE tees fit slimmer and more TTS
The toebox feels the most different - perhaps the different materials on the upper makes it less stiff and has a bit more give compared to the non-gtx. So you do get this feeling of width in the forefoot.
Without socks I can fit a finger in the heel, so with the more comfortable forefoot I...
my non-leather lined 997s are US 8 and leather lined 997s (lux goods, rose, NYC, 997GY, 997NV) are all US 7.5.
if you have wider feet you could make do with a US 6.5, but a US 7 is definitely going to be too big
