San Antonio. Austin COL is absolutely ridiculous. I got a good job offer out there for about 10k more than I make but decided not to do it because I wanted to rent a place that was close enough to my job to walk. The cheapest place I found in Austin was for a studio at 1500/month. Absolute robbery.

Thank God for Texas. Got a 1 bedroom downtown in the heart of the city for 1200 a month. Don't need a car since all the best restaurants and shopping is within walking/cheap Uber distance. Making 6k a month and barely spending 2k on an average month. :pimp:

If your job primarily uses windows learn powershell. If linux learn bash. Wouldn't hurt to learn python either. Edit: Also look into Puppet, Chef, and Ansible.
