I was DJing on the side before things shut down. Had a few high schools and universities that consistently booked me along with weddings and random club events here & there. In my area there are no clubs are open, wedding have become more small and intimate, and a school dance isn't exactly...
Just received this in the mail today! My first speedlight, hoping to use this for some location shoots when the weather gets nicer.
I've also been trying to sell a few of my kicks to buy camera gear. I've got around 5-600 in pending sales this week, and I'm flying out to ATL for my brother's...
I've tried the diopter a bunch of times, I don't think that's it. My viewfinder is accurate, but not precise like on my friend's T5. When I blow up my photos it's usually focused somewhere behind or in front of the eyes. Because of this I end up taking a more photos than I would want to, and...
Mostly people. I love portraiture, so I don't think the weak AF system will be too bothersome in a home/studio setup. I like close up shots, I haven't really done many full body shoots. If I'm out of town then I'll do some landscape/nature shots. I haven't done much landscaping, but for all that...
Yeah, I like a lot of the photos done with the 6D that I've seen, but 140 for a one day/weekend rental... :rolleyes. Don't see that happening, unless I'm going on a trip to somewhere spectacular. I'm still a student, so I'm trying to kind of budget my money. I did use a friend's T5, and compared...
How do you guys know when it's time to upgrade your equipment?
I'm really considering upgrading my t4i to a 6D. I really want to invest either in a new body or some new glass. I'm thinking about the 70-200 F4L IS. I'm not yet brave enough to pull the trigger on the body, and I'm trying to wait...
Try Walmart, I'm not sure of the prices in your area, but they do have that size.
I got some printed that size, and after a friend's 10% discount it came up to $27.xx = 21/22 USD. Not sure if you'd consider that cheap.
Thanks man, I really appreciate it. I'm really excited to be in this position right now.
Thanks for the feedback, I guess I'll start in that range & hopefully we can agree to keep it somewhere in there.
Thank man. I'll try that. I've got no idea where to start when it comes to pricing for...
So I was involved in this photo project, and 6 of my photos ended up being used in this photo exhibit. A guy ended up contacting be about buying a portrait I took, but I'm not exactly sure how to price it. It's a 24" x 36" portrait. I'm pretty new to this stuff, but what do prints this size...
It gets down to -30s & -40s sometimes. It's all about the layers, but your face definitely does freeze up. If I walk outside with a water bottle it'll be ice water before I cross the street.
Nah, my last haircut was just a lil bit over 4 years ago, December 21,2010.
The first set I had in for about 7 months-ish...I didnt crochet/interlock it at that point. You CAN comb out dreads if they havent been interlocked,it's just a hassle.
I was debating combing it out, or just keeping...
I'm just assuming this is the closest thing to an official dreadlock hair thread..
Been locked up for about 3.5 years on/off.. This is my 3rd set, I've had these for 2.5 years.
The 1st time i locked up the sizing was off, some small ones then some random of areas with bigger ones.
2nd set was...
I actually picked up a white Savage seamless (short one) last week. I did some self-portraits and took some photos of my brothers yesterday and, I LOVE it. I picked up some clamps from home depot to use with this cheap stand I have. It photographs so much better than the muslin, which I spent...
Here's a photo I took of a friend. I was going for a kind of dramatic look, but any criticisms are welcome. I feel like I need to experiment more with lighting techniques as well.
p.s. has anyone tried going to their local fabric stores for backdrops? I got one a few days ago from there...
Just started up a practice account with RBC Direct Investing. I'm hoping the learning process isn't too difficult. I find the jargon makes it a bit more difficult for me to comprehend certain aspects of trading.
I used both manual focus and shooting mode.
Also how would I calibrate the diopter properly? When I first bought the lens the guy who sold it to me messed around with the click wheel. I'm not exactly sure how to get it set it properly.
Thanks for the quick response.
I put up a post a few pages back about having trouble focusing, and in the examples I posted it seemed like my lens might have been focusing behind the eyes / around the ears. I got some helpful suggestions about taking my aperture a few stops down, and the possibility of my lens back-focusing...
