Was gonna say these new ones are pretty much spot on from how I remember the originals looking back in the day. Obviously the mind can play tricks, but most of what you’re seeing as a difference is due to aging.

I did not care for 2003 12s at all. They were definitely super zoomy and the uppers were really malleable out the box, but that was the issue to me. I much prefer the subtle cushioning in the 1997 originals as well as the tonka truck like super thick leathers they used.

Ain’t gonna lie man if they dropped those pearl blue lows with that 2002 shape I would grab those.

I remember clowning a kid down the street in ‘94 who had these because kids are jerks and I was a moron, only to buy them in ‘02 and dye them…. Only to regret it immediately. I’m beyond ready for any and every original colorway 9 in this updated mold. Would also love some cool grays.

Do y’all think the slightly beefier OG-thick laces features in the gratitudes will be a staple going forward? The thick puffy laces are so important to the vibe IMO.
