why would you buy a rap CD for 12 bucks when spotify/apple music cost 5-10 bucks a monthPeople do buy CDs still. Either digital, or physical. Rap albums are not selling because there's an influx of garbage. If people can buy iphones, pop bottles in the club, or buy a chicken sandwich from Chik Fil A, they can buy a $10 CD. Stop excusing people.
Andre was already stamped, at age 23 years old. Him and Big Boi were legends by the age of 23. Raekwon and Slick Rick collaborated with Outkast. At age 23, Future was still a po' hustler probably moving from couch to couch. Future is 32 years old, and raps remedial. At 32, Andre was sort of retired like Barry Sanders or Michael Jordan.
People only collaborate with Future because they know he's a slouch who they will outshine, and make a quick buck. What legends are lining up to collaborate with Future?
Kendrick Lamar is being spoken up by Obama and David Bowie. J.Cole forced Jay-Z to take notice. He has collabed with guys like Talib, Jay Electronica, etc.
Lastly... who played Jimmy Hendrix in his biopic?
These hands of mines are always unfazed and forever undefeated. Any chin can get them.
Adele is world-wide, that helps.
Adele is selling because a large portion of her audience isn't computer savvy or just dont want to be bothered with looking for albums online
there are lots of reasons that rap fell off sales-wise compared to other genres...and it doesn't necessarily have to do with quality...was Nelly any better or worse than Fetty Wap

And Imma just leave this here:
"Keep an open mind. The first time I heard Outkast, I told a reporter they were wack and “weren’t hip-hop.” Obviously I couldn’t have been more wrong. My problem was I didn’t understand their music---it sounded so different from what I was used, but my mind was closed at that point in my life and it cost me. If my mind had been open, maybe I could have signed what proved to be one of the greatest groups in the history of hip-hop. At least I wouldn’t have played myself with that foolish remark. The point is, sometime great ideas will appear in forms that you’re not used to, or even comfortable with. Just keep an open mind and you’ll be able to see their value."
-Russell Simmons
Where's the song attachment? I don't see any music by those two. J.Cole has an actual FEATURE on a Jay-Z album
