All this started because I said as dope as 3K may be, he couldn't be the GOAT without proving his solo prowess.

It turning into a discussion about Fewch shows dude is about to be the next great one. :lol :smokin

People do buy CDs still. Either digital, or physical. Rap albums are not selling because there's an influx of garbage. If people can buy iphones, pop bottles in the club, or buy a chicken sandwich from Chik Fil A, they can buy a $10 CD. Stop excusing people.
why would you buy a rap CD for 12 bucks when spotify/apple music cost 5-10 bucks a month

its like buying a DVD of some **** thats on Netflix

also, most rap albums have their songs uploaded to unofficial compilations on mixtape apps/sites like Spinrilla or DatPiff...so someone doesnt have to buy an album to have it on their phone

not to mention, most people dont spend money on music period because if you are even halfway computer literate, you can find any album on Google period within 2-3 minutes

Adele is selling because a large portion of her audience isn't computer savvy or just dont want to be bothered with looking for albums online

there are lots of reasons that rap fell off sales-wise compared to other genres...and it doesn't necessarily have to do with quality...was Nelly any better or worse than Fetty Wap

And Imma just leave this here:

"Keep an open mind. The first time I heard Outkast, I told a reporter they were wack and “weren’t hip-hop.” Obviously I couldn’t have been more wrong. My problem was I didn’t understand their music---it sounded so different from what I was used, but my mind was closed at that point in my life and it cost me. If my mind had been open, maybe I could have signed what proved to be one of the greatest groups in the history of hip-hop. At least I wouldn’t have played myself with that foolish remark. The point is, sometime great ideas will appear in forms that you’re not used to, or even comfortable with. Just keep an open mind and you’ll be able to see their value."

Andre was already stamped, at age 23 years old. Him and Big Boi were legends by the age of 23. Raekwon and Slick Rick collaborated with Outkast. At age 23, Future was still a po' hustler probably moving from couch to couch. Future is 32 years old, and raps remedial. At 32, Andre was sort of retired like Barry Sanders or Michael Jordan.

People only collaborate with Future because they know he's a slouch who they will outshine, and make a quick buck. What legends are lining up to collaborate with Future?

Kendrick Lamar is being spoken up by Obama and David Bowie. J.Cole forced Jay-Z to take notice. He has collabed with guys like Talib, Jay Electronica, etc.

Lastly... who played Jimmy Hendrix in his biopic?

Adele is world-wide, that helps.

The Nelly slander is not allowed.

Rep this man. Nothing else needs to be said. Dudes that don't rock with him just don't rock with him and that's fine. I pity any mf alive that denies a track like March Madness, but it's all preferential. Let's get the thread back on topic.

Wasnt Lupe or Pharr the NT dude, now these young millenial rappers with nick names doing selfies.

Boyz 2 Men
Michael Jackson

Jackson could glide, moon walk, pop. These guys? Nothing special.....

:lol

I listen to him cause he floats on beats and has entertaining lines

You electrical and exceptional and inside of you
Is an angel named St. Michael
He say he's in there to protect you and never lie to you
It's so hard to be faithful but you sensitive
And you hold me down so I'mma try for you
