Carlo is in a no-lose situation. He knows the squad is hamstrung with wages; he needs to dump unprofitable veterans; he knows reinforcements aren't coming; he knows Perez will talk behind his back and eventually sack him. He's basically already a dead man walking. It doesn't matter though because he'll still get his bag when he's inevitably dumped, regardless of performance.
