Firmino>Herrera and any bench midfielders Man Utd have, youth or not. If he was English his transfer fee would of been 40+ mill. Man U don't go into seasons hoping to develop youth.

I don't like comparing players who play in two different roles. The only time you could really compare them is when Firmino plays as a SS and Herrera plays as a 10. Even then that's not really the same role.

Yes, there is a tax on those born in England.....

It's part of our ethos. I would much rather have Callum Gribbin on the bench than Firmino. Youth>overpaying for cover.

Wonder how the eds lads feel knowing Pep is going to be buying internationals for cover this summer :{

You on that Arsene Wenger steez refusing to spend. That's the name of the game now. Firmino was a steal at 20-25 who can also flourish as a #10. Hell Payet and Wijnaldum were too for the price. Not many teams develop and win anymore even Leicester brought in foreign talent to to be where they are today.

Man U is always a big spending club IMO. City gets a lot ishh for splashing money but Man U also swings around the same ball park. Its not how much money you have now its who you choose to invest on and how they affect the team chemistry. Gone are the days of having academy players come up the ranks, even Barca still struggles with this philosophy.

Have no problem spending big. We've always spent big. I would have a problem with spending 32 million pounds on Mangala only for him to end up third choice two seasons later.

Is this season over yet?? And can Arsenal please finish out top four so the board might actually have the balls to sack Wenger, I am done.

Nacho earns the penalty and Aguero knocks it home. Nacho has shown better movement, MAKES RUNS for gods sake and been more creative already than Bony has in his last few appearances...

Nasri's not on the bench today they are being careful about an injury situation with him. And Navas has been playing well actually

So apparently Sahko failed a drug test and has been suspended in private by 'Pool. I wonder how long hell get from the FA,I remember Rio getting fined 50k and banned for 8 months for a failed test.

Apparently its some kind of drug that aids in the burning of fat. He'll have his B sample tested sometime next week which will determine if he gets the bans. If be fails, he'll be banned for six months.

Nacho man of the match and deservedly so. These commentators where putting the nail's in Yaya's coffin

Does anyone know why the PL decided to change their logo? It's kind of wack tbh...

I really hope PSG don't sell Pastore and Marquinhos

They're already on the fence about their striker for next year. We don't need any issues anywhere else on the field.

If anything, they should be bringing in another younger center defender to partner with Marquinhos. Varane would be perfect. 2 young studs with PSG's already young and quality FB's

And Pastore, Veratti, and Matuidi should get tied down as long as possible.

I just hope they do t lose what quality players they have due to minimal minutes

Reals not selling Varane anytime soon man :lol, that's Zidane's guy that he discovered

My homeboy just texted me this great analogy for Wenger's and Arsenal's relationship
roll.gif

I like to think that Wenger & Arsenal are the dead-bedroom relationship of football where the couple is too traditional to break up & they're still together just so it's not weird for their kids

Ronnie-less Real is already down 2-0 to Vallecano :x :x
