Agreed.

But as we’ve been saying in here, the MVP is a regular season award and the Jazz are having a fantastic regular season. So how they are anticipated to do in the playoffs shouldn’t really factor into whether Mitchell (or Gobert) are MVP candidates. But I think it does.

Since people this season have been comparing this Jazz team to the 14-15 Hawks, I checked and nobody from that Hawks team got a single MVP vote.

Yea I definitely think it’s stupid to be calling them the 2014-2015 hawks. Atlanta didn’t have a star like Mitchell, a defensive rock like gobert or even a 6th man of the year candidate like clarkson. I’ve got high hopes this year man cause they could really make a deep playoff run

He's been incredibly clutch. It will be fun to watch him in the playoffs.

I hope Charlotte brings back the merch

I dont believe in Utah. Denvers the best team in that division.
Denver is nice, especially with the addition of Mr. 50. On First Take they made a comparison today that I liked for him - Eagle Dollar. They didn't compare their games just talked about how when you ask them to be your team's #1 option (like Eagle Dollar in Philly) your team is going to be capped at a 7/8 seed. But when you ask them to be your 4th option (AI on GSW) they can raise your team's ceiling. I may irritated by his recent actions but I can't deny he got traded into a great situation for him to flourish.

This year in particular between the play-in tourney and Lakers injuries to AD/Bron, the standings are going to be extremely goofy. I could see Utah catching a really raw break because of it

EYE personally think the Lakers are going to hold on to a Top 4 seed.

But, yeah, if they don’t, it would be some “reward” for getting a 1-3 seed to have to play them in the first round.

I was originally going to say that's a bold prediction but as I typed out my post, I realized 4/5 is actually not unreasonable. Currently 2-6 are separated by 3.5 games. Lakers are currently the 4-seed and only 1.5 on 6-seed Portland so in the short-term they will undoubtedly fall there. 6-seed has another 3.5 games on the 7 so you might just be right.

Brooklyn needs all that to beat 36 year old Bron?
Even with “all that” Bron would still be an extremely tough out.
Also, didn’t Bron/Celtics kind of start this trend tho........ not trying to argue or anything , but if the Nets having a soaked ,but not entirely washed BG and LA are the pieces to take down a Bron led team then all of the teams been doing it wrong.

Right. I figure they’ll get a little better playing without LeBron and AD and will “steal” enough wins while those two are out not to sink too far in the standings.

They really just need to avoid the play-in at all costs. That's too much stress going into the playoffs

Lakers taking them out in the 1st rd

So is Augustin playing for the Rockets? Or did he get bought out?

Teague had started to turn the corner for the Cs after a bad start. He's probably better than whatever DJ Augustin was doing for them.
