It was never that TBH. It was always "he's a better fit." Which he is. Kyrie/Jaylen/Jayson couldn't co-exist. Kemba can defer. Kyrie wasn't patient enough for that and/or couldn't be a #1.

Kemba's knee is still bothering him though. Just look at how he was before the injury compared to after.
