They did pretty good IMO.
Too much grey imo though, these look pretty bland tbh. I actually liked the mockup photos more where they had that splatter of blue where the pixelated parts are.
The Hot Lava's are still the best colorway released for the II's so far.
Not sure if I will pick these up, not for $170

I totally get this, and I agree, Im not as disappointed but it couldve had splash more color - however, IMHO these will never be near retail again unless worn thoroughly. Gotta cop em.

I agree it's a lot of grey as far as colorblocking, but the OG Mag is like that too. I was thinking they could've made the plastic part for the upper eyestay white to match the white strap on the OG but I also think that would make it look cheap. At least it's more interesting than the SB dunk.

I come in this thread to lurk and hoping the same but it’s like Nike forgot IIIs and IVs exist it would be nice to finally see a retro of both considering it’s be over a decade but who knows when that’ll happenThey're releasing a ton of stuff related to the ATCIII? Any word on the actual shoe anyone? The volt ATC III is only my grail

That part. I had the exact same thought that the plastic part being white would've gave it more of an Air Mag vibe, but I think it's possible that the design team didn't want it to clash with the white Swoosh.

On the Air Mag joints, they could’ve made the air bubble red, amber, and green like the 3 lights on the side…

Thanks for the edit. Yeah, looks like they made the right design choice to not make that part white. The shoe definitely feels like it's missing some white though.

They have almost no creativity..they copy pasted the color onto them. A better way is to follow the color placement blueprint of the OGs and use the colors from the Mag.

I think they were trying to blend the mags with these personally. Minus the swoosh color.
