🦉The Official Drake Thread6️⃣ - Drake & PND Album Fall 2024

Fab has never been considered the best at any point, the hell if Lil Wayne was ever the best.

Hell, he was going to do a project with Juelz, and Juelz wasn't even the best in Dip Set.

And what does this have to do with anything?

Fab never made the Carter or Carter 2. Fab just wasn't as good as Wayne. This is just more NY hating on the south. I'm a fab fan by the way. More Street Dreams is one of my favorite mixtapes. But after Hov "retired"...Wayne had a real claim to "Best rapper alive" for a period of time.

Fab, Wayne & Cass murked this though :hat. Fab got Wayne and Cass on 6 minutes of death.

No this is more the south overrating mediocre rappers

You can praise, Scarface, Dre, Big Boi, Phonte.....

But ***** with Lil *** Wayne.

If he were from New York nobody would have ever praised him, because he would have even been JR Writer. Just another rapper.

Lil Wayne is king of the basic bars.

I'm trying to figure who they are period. Like in 2013...who were the supposed 2 million people that bought that album?

I don't know any Eminem fans.
Angsty white suburban teenagers

For as much as ****** trash Drake and say he's only where he is because of the machine behind him...i'd love to hear those same people's opinions on Eminem.

I think it's the same thing

both specifically appeal to demographics that aren't typically reached out to(women and white people) in rap

I don't mess with eithers subject matter for the most part, because I can't relate.

Kendrick
Drake
J cole
Wayne

All better than biggie

That's like if Kendrick dies after gkmc and we call him the goat Lmaoo

So you don't hear Eminem songs and think, damn, this dude can rap?
He can rap but he hasn't been able to make decent music since post-Relapse

I can't even describe how trash he's been since then

Both Wayne and Em had weak subject matter. As I got older I listened to both of 'em less and less. Em is definitely the better rapper though.

I don't think he can rap any better than those late 90s-early 2000s Lyricist Lounge type ******. I said that I admit he could rap from a technical standpoint.

But there was nothing special about him at all for ppl to actually consider him one of the greatest ever. His body of work is piss poor and aged horribly.

When's the last time one of ya'll through on one of those early Eminem albums?

He's been a pop star for a while now, he just gets a song with a Rihanna hook or sings some quasi inspirational hook that could be a on a football highlight video on YT.

He exists in the same world as G-Eazy. I've never met a fan of his music but dude is doing arenas in Utah, don't think I have to say anything more than that. :lol

I don't think Em has anything to rap about.

I think everyone gets to that point, especially when you get money and fame. There is no struggle. You're just going through the motions.

I don't think Kanye, 50, Em, Jay....have anything to rap about. Not anything we can really relate to.

I think certain rappers can still do it, because they're going through a lot of trials and tribulations in life, like Scarface

but a lot of them need motivation like Jay on American Gangsta or Nas with Life Is Good.

All these mixtape dudes are going to really have problems, because they throw out so much music. This will be the era of the ghostwriter.

I'm dead *** serious. That ***** is not in my top 10 at all.

Pax >>> Biggie easily...

How a ***** that had two albums the goat?

I was thinking about this at one point, but it's really like three albums

and back in the 80's, early 90's....well before LL and especially Jay-Z you were pretty much done as a major artist after three albums.

Kane
Rakim
LL...which is why people were shocked he came back with Mama Said. I think that album is overrated though
G Rap
KRS

Gale Sayers didn't need to be in the league as long as Emmitt to make the hall of fame.

TI is better than Biggie?

What have I walked myself into...

TI is better than Wayne though

Some days threads around here just get on skid row before they can right themselves. Today is one of those days. I'm not a Biggie stan, but the shenanigans going on around here right now are at an all time high.

TI is better than Wayne though 8o

I mean, it's not really hard to be better than current washed Wa_n_ nor "prime" Wa_n_. At least I've never felt completely embarrassed for the genre after listening to any T.I. songs. Even his current "I'm Sorry, I'm Trying To Stay Out Of Prison" songs.

Em's first 3 albums were good/great. The 8 Mile soundtrack had some great songs too (8 Mile, Rabbit Run). After that Em lost his hunger. Once he came back he was done.
