Dudes picking Hatton were just Pac haters or just trying to be different. Hatton, IMO, is very underrated. Dude WAS a legit champ that not a lotof American boxing fans knew of or respected.Originally Posted by yungmatt
I dont know why anyone thought Hatton would win... I called Manny KO'ing his bum %*! early. Dude has always been overrated. Watching 24/7 had a lot of dudes gassed thinking he was gonna be a different fighter cause of Floyd Sr.... Yeah rite, he was the same str8 forward idiot in the Malinaggi fight with Floyd Sr training him.

I'm about 99% sure the tickets will be sold through ticketmaster. Hatton-Pac tickets "sold out" the first day but that's alittle deceptive. What actually happens is the promotional companies hold tickets for various groups, vips, etc. and a lot of the tickets are sold in bulk to"ticket brokers" (organized scalpers) and only a small number of tickets were available for the general public. So even though all the tickets aresold, all the seats aren't accounted for since they also have to be sold in the after market to the final consumer. This fight probably isn't going toqualify as a "super fight" where there's going to be the same demand as Mayweather-DLH, Hatton-Pac, etc. so you might be able to get tickets fromticketmaster without much problem. If the tickets do sell out my advice would be to wait the day of the fight when the scalpers are trying to dump theirtickets and they'll often let them go for a fraction of the face value. Craigslist would be a good place to look. I know of a person who got $1200 facevalue tickets for $200 the day of the Pacman-DLH fight by doing this.Originally Posted by jae oh en
sorry for slightly sidetracking the thread with this, but just got a quick question.
anyone ever gone to a fight in vegas? im curious to know how the ticket buying process works for a big fight. mainly asking when do tix typically go on sale, do they usually sell out with the quickness? we booked a trip to vegas last week and now that the weekend we are heading out there is also the same weekend as the PBF/marquez fight, we might look into buying some tickets for it. if it's too crazy we might just settle with trying to get into the weigh in.
just wondering if anyone could share their experiences with it. it's greatly appreciated.
While addressing the media, Floyd Mayweather, Jr. said "I beat fighters and turn them into b_s and they go out and put on fish-nets. That's what I do." This was obviously a slap at Oscar De La Hoya after the infamous internet scandal which purported to depict the Golden Boy in panty hose, pictures whose validity has been questioned.

watched Wilbon on PTI jus completely dismiss Floyd if he were to fight Pac man
That made me change the channel.
These dudes completely down play and insult boxing for years...then they see a glimpse of why we have been hooked forever (even through the lean years) andthey just insult all real boxing fans by spewing a bunched of hyped up stupidity.
Either commentate on boxing with the same intelligence and insight as every other sport....or just leave it alone.
We've been doing fine without ESPN for commentary for a decade.

I wonder whatkind of atmosphere the Mayweathers were raised in.PBF, his dad, his uncleall show a very disturbing INFERIORITY COMPLEX thatthey have to putsomeone downor say somethingbad aboutsomeonejust so they canactually highlight themselves. The upbringing is definitely a big mishap.
Why would you disrespect Angelo Dundee?? What did he ever do to the Mayweathers??
Arrogancewill lead to their downfall soon, somehow Iam hoping for it

Mayweather's trash talk has never really been about intimidation. He's not a knockout artist and he doesn't have the hardest of hands. But he is smart enough to know that an irritated fighter is not a focused fighter.Originally Posted by Jagshemash

On another note, I find Mayweather Jr's trashtalking weak. I don't think I've ever cracked a smile from anything he's said....it's the kind of talk that gets under people's skin because it's annoying, there's no real intimidation.
At the end of the first round, here are Floyd Sr. direct quotes to Ricky, "Man, That's why I was telling you about moving your head man. You got move your head, you have to fake and feint. You have to feint and make and then touch. You just trying to fall in like that and over power him. You wont overpower him. keep your hands up man, You should have been listening at me from day one."
