I think its a crutch to allow illegal immigration. No matter what measures are taken to try to curb illegals, someone is going to be offended or scream racist.Originally Posted by Boys Noize
Honestly, I don't know any fix for this problem. Does it encourage illegal immigration? I don't think so. I think economic opportunity and the lack thereof in their home countries is the strongest motivator. It just makes it harder for the US to remove the parents.Originally Posted by AZwildcats
So by letting them and their families stay (because a baby cant raise itself) isn't that encouraging illegal immigration?Originally Posted by Boys Noize
This legislation isn't about the parents, it's about the kids. Children of the parents of illegal immigrants didn't choose to be born here. If they grew up here, went to school here, and lived their entire lives here...and are found to have been born to illegal immigrants, they should be forced to leave the country?Originally Posted by cryptikman
I really do not see anything wrong with this. My parents and I immigrated to this country, legally, when I was young. I had a greencard until I was able to take my citizenship test when I was 18. My family and I, along with millions of others before us, had to go through this legalities, why not the immigrants now?

if, like dirty said when posting the comic, they retroactively cut the 14th amemdment, everyone but native americans would be deported.
so a majority of the "THIS IS OUR COUNTRY, GET OUT, AND TAKE YOUR ANCHOR BABIES WITH YOU" people can go ahead and denounce their citizenship too, then....
i mean, since its only fair and right, right?
right.
i just think its ironic that a nation of illegal immigrants are denouncing illegal immigrants.
